How do FIFA 20 Tournaments Work?

by Phirex

With more than 10 million people playing Fifa 20 around the world, it is not at all surprising to learn that there are a whole range of tournaments being played. In fact, there is a competition for pretty much anyone, no matter your skill level.

Every single day there will be several tournaments being played across Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC, with the highest-profile ones being the Fifa 20 Global Series.

This includes the Champions League, which is contested by the best esports players in the world, with stages taking place in Bucharest and Paris.

There are also 19 League Qualifying Tournaments, with professional gamers representing high profile football teams in Spain, Germany, England and many other professional leagues.

And just like in real life, the very best from across Europe compete against each other, in the eChampions League.

But by far the most high profile and most prestigious tournament is the Fifa eWorld Cup. Anyone can enter the competition, but only the very best earn the right to represent their country.

First you must compete in the Fifa 20 Global series and earn enough victories to become Champions Verified – this means winning 27 games in a single Weekend League.

There are then a range of Online Qualification Tournaments and Live Events before the top 64 players on the Global Series Rankings complete in a play-off for a chance to secure a spot in the Fifa eWorld Cup.

Taking place since 2004, the eWorld Cup sees the best 32 players in the world compete for the title and a life-changing amount of money.

Last year the tournament was held at The 02 in London, with ‘MoAuba’ beating defending champion ‘MsDossary’ 3-2 on aggregate to take the title and win $250,000.
