LCS Week Four Preview: Could The Top vs Bottom Clash End Two Streaks?

by Mike Stubbs

In the LCS there are two teams with a big 0 on their win-loss record, but they sit at opposite ends of the table.

Cloud9 is having one of the best starts to a split ever seen in the LCS, with a perfect 6-0 record putting them firmly at the top of the table.

Team Dignitas, on the other hand, is having the worst start imaginable, having failed to win a single match and sitting at 0-6 at the bottom of the league.

The two teams face off this week in the LCS, and you would probably want to put your money on both streaks continuing, as a win for Digitas would be nothing short of a miracle here.

But there is a chance that Cloud9’s streak could be over before that match even takes place, as they face off against Counter Logic Gaming on Friday Night League.

CLG sits in joint second place and looks like one of the few teams capable of beating Cloud9, making this the must-watch match of the week in the LCS.

This week has many tantalizing matches, as a lot of the teams that sit in joint second with a 4-2 record will face off against each other.

FlyQuest vs Evil Geniuses, FlyQuest vs Team Liquid and CLG vs TSM should all be top matches to watch that you do not want to miss.

Lower down the league we also get to see 100 Thieves in action as they bring in two new players to their LCS roster, after benching two players including jungler William “Meteos” Hartman who publicly called out his coaches on Twitter after finding out he was benched.

Whether or not the new look 100 Thieves roster can change the team’s results remains to be seen, but chances are the new players will not bring as much negative attention onto the team as Meteos did.

As ever you can watch all of the action across the weekend on the LCS Twitch channel.
